NTUA team has extensive experience in the field of extractive industries, covering actions for designing, simulation and prototyping sustainable metallurgical routes by utilising energy-efficient processes, H2, CCUS technologies and recycling routes. Pyro, Hydro, Electro-metallurgical, bench scale reactors are hosted in facilities covering 2000m2, supported by a physico-chemical analytical lab equipped with ICP- MS, AAS, XRF, XRD, laser particle analysers, BET, TG, SEM and TEM. The team operates also a H2 living laboratory (55kg H2@200bar, 40kW fuel cell, 22kW PEM electrolysis, 86kWth H2 burner) in an ATEX II classified area, supervised by a multiple sensing safety system.
